FodderHydroSystem systems consist of a hydroponic growth chamber specifically designed for the germination of cereals and legumes. The seeds are placed in sprouting trays that are sprayed at intervals determined by sprinklers mounted above the trays. A set temperature is maintained in the chamber to ensure optimal germination and the highest possible nutritional value. The task is simply to fill the trays every day by moving the trays from the previous days to the side. After 6 days, the sprouted grains form a carpet of fodder with intertwined roots. Simply remove the sprouted seed mats from the trays, then rinse and brush the trays, then place new seeds in the trays and restart the germination cycle.

Germinated barley was analyzed at all stages of germination. The germination process begins after 24 hours, but the highest concentration of nutrients is reached between the 5th and 6th day, depending on the method used. This is when the barley should be harvested.
